Cloud top altitudes from ~1.5 days before the current date to ~6 hours before the current time are derived from cloud top pressure altitude (Variable 63) and cloud optical depth. Only clouds with optical depth > 5 are included (https://satcorps.larc.nasa.gov/prod/Global-GEO/visst-grid-netcdf).
The plots are generated by 3 AM Pacific time each morning, and are available up to ~1.5-2 hours before the current time.
