This product plots the positions of air parcels in the ATTREX region at 57,000 ft that have been influenced by convection in the past 5 days. It also plots the locations of the convection and trajectories between the convection and the influenced air parcels. Cloud top altitudes are derived from LARC netcdf MTSAT-2 brightness temperatures and NCEP temperature forecasts. No forecast cloud top altitude data are used.
